ANNUAL REPORT 2019-2020
Good afternoon to the gorgeous gathering.
Respectable president of Namakkal Kongu Nattu Vellalar Sangam Thiru. P.K. Sengodan avl, Respectable secretary Thiru P.K. Venkatachalam avl, Chief Gust Thiru Uzavan. M. Thangavelu avl Respected treasurer Thiru K. Selvaraj, Respectable Esteemed Educational committee president Thiru Nallannan avl and other members of the Namakkal Kongu Nattu Vellalar Sangam, guests, Parents , my dear teachers , Nonteaching staff and most beloved students.

I, Mrs. V. Kavitha, Principal of Namakkal Kongu Matric Hr. Sec. School, Keerambur, feel very elated to present the 28th Annual Report for the duration between last and current Annual days. I assume principalship as nothing more than responsibility and not as a seat of power. That is the reason the school members are like family members.
Namakkal Kongu Matric Hr. Sec. School has 2 floors of RCC buildings with 40 class rooms to accommodate the present strength of 766 students, 47 teachers and 45 non-teaching staff. We are effort fully marching towards and more.
We have well equipped physics, chemistry, biology and zoology labs separately. Labs are upgraded every year as per the latest syllabus to supplement. We have a huge library comprising more than 5000 books.
Computer lab has more than 20 systems with internet facility. Computer education is compulsory from 1st std onwards.
3 smart classrooms for audio visual learning are on the run since 4 years. Further it is planned to be extended for all the classes in the near future.
Life consists not in holding good cards, but in playing those cards you hold well.
We are lucky to have a vast ground for major games like Football, Cricket, Hockey, Volley ball and etc. We have enough courts for kho-kho, kabaddi and badminton too .
CCTV cameras are fixed in the school campus for better monitoring.
As the first step in academic excellence we have got 100% result in 10th ,11th & 12th standards. Students have come out with flying colours of marks. In the years to come we shall achieve higher levels of marks. And to execute the mission we have planned well ahead.
As for other class HODs are appointed in all major subject to guide and to monitor the proceedings of their major subject. We have a handwriting analyst to improve the handwriting of the students as well as teachers. After Annual day we have propose to train the new comer teachers too. Periodical scrutiny of the note books, books and Diary are done by the in charge teachers to verify that no students is left without proper study material. As a unique feature of the school we have remedial class every day were in the late bloomers are taken care of.
In a nut shell, there is a steady progress in the academic arena too.
EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES:
Extra curricular activities are taught and being learnt in order to develop the skills within and to distress ones self.
Our school has been conducting extra curricular activities since last year. Arts like Music, Yoga, Vocal, Western Dance, Bharathanatiyam, Keyboard and Silambam are taught, students enthusiastically join & practice every year. This year we have introduced Gymnastics too. Karate has been in practice since a long time.
Students who have joined in extra curricular activities are ready to put up an extravaganza show, shortly.
Periodical parent – teacher meetings are proposed to be conducted to insist the necessity of the parents contribution to the overall development of the child.
To achieve our goal, our dynamic and enterprising, devoted and duty conscious management puts forth hard labour and motivation.
With the blessing of the Almighty, appreciable co-operation of parents and wonderful team of teaching and non teaching staff and the love of beloved children, we well reach new horizons in the years to come.
- On 6.11.18 Our school student Miss M. Dhanalakshmi of 12th std received gold medal in Kumite , Karate in the Rural games of India at Gujrat. She won 3rd place in Kumite , Karate in the National level Karate championship held at Punjab in May. In the 64th school games federation of India’s Merit list in Karate, She is the only person in Namakkal district. She has further received first place in Individual Kumite at the 18th All India Karata championship -2019 held at Kadulur on 11.08.19.
- On 15.11.18 Our school students boys and girls got third place in Kabadi at District level held at Minnakkal
- 11.18 our school students boys and girls got first place in Karate at South India level at Kadalur
- On 29.11.18 Our school foot ball students got third place in the open tournament held at Hosur
- 1.19 & 6.1.19 Our school kabbadi girls got third place in the State level games held at Hosur.
- On 16.1.19 Our school kabadi girls got First place in Kabadi at District level held at Karur.
- On 17.1.19 Our school girls got first place in Kabadi tournament held by the District Police Department.
- On 20.6.19 the Yoga day was celebrated in the school auditorium, From 10am to 12noon. Chief guest Thiru. Uzlavan Thangavel Avl. Yoga teachers Mrs.Sangeetha and Mrs. Gomathi were welcomed. The physical yoga was demonstrated to the students by the Yoga teachers.
- In June2019 our school student G. Sabariesan of IX std got First place at the state level championship in silambam match held at Chennai and the second place at Divisional level in silambam match held at Thirupur and the First place in the Fourth Annual inter school Roller in skating held at Namakkal. Further he received first place in District level 3rd Silambam Competition held on 11.08.19.
- On 15.7.19 Kalvi Valarch naal which is observed on the birthday of the former Chief Minister and Honorable Man Kamarajar,was celebrated with speech by students.
- On 26.7.19 Awareness for water management was given to the students, a pledge to save water and plant trees was taken. Student also took – in campus procession.
- On 28.7.19 6th to 9th std students participated in the Quiz Competition conducted by the Indian Institute of metals and received
- On 2.8.19 our students participated in the Namakkal district Yogasana Competition and got prizes and the shields.
- On 27.7.19 Our school students participated in Kabadi and got third prize at District level. It was held at Attur.
- In July, 2019 our school student P. Siva of X-Std scored 203runs out of 183 balls, got the Man of the series in the State level Cricket held at He scored 202 runs out of 150 balls and got the Star Player of the game award at National level championship under 17 held in Jammue & Kashmir
- In May, 2019 student P.Deepak of XI std got Gold Medal in shotput and silver medal in discus throw in Punjab.
- In May, 2019 student Divya Sri of IX std got Gold Medal in Shot-Put and silver medal in discus throw held in Punjab.
Like wise our students have won lots of prizes at district level and we believe strongly to reach levels of different heights. we have an array of prizes which you will cherish in the prize distribution.
